Elizabeth Bay

The little rocky bay is accessible via a short vehicle track, or park on the road and walk to the beach. Middens in the exposed banks are evidence of Indigenous use in times past. Please do not disturb cultural sites!

Keeping weeds such as blackberry under control is a constant effort, but gradually native plants grown from locally-collected and grown seed are re-establishing and filling the voids left by disturbance and weed removal.

We’ve started working with patrula nayri (Fire Good) manager, Jason Andrew Smith, who is teaching us how to use controlled fire to help clear weeds and stimulate the natural seed bed.
